The body features volume markings to help you keep track of how much marinade has been dispensed.
The 4.5 inch long plastic body of this marinade injector holds up to 1.5 ounces of liquid. The 3 inch long injector needle screws on and off for easy cleaning. Both of the dispensing holes are on the side of the needle this prevents the needle from clogging when sticking it into your meat.
Tips for using a marinade injector:
A light coat of oil on the rubber of the plunger before use will help with thick marinades.
Do not fill the marinade injector from the top. Sauces can be to thick and spices will clog the injector and you won’t know it until it is too late.
A tall shot glass is great for filling the injector.
If you can not suck the marinade into the injector it will need to be thinned out with water or cooking oil.
If you do not have time to marinate your meat overnight you can inject it right before cooking.
Finally when using a marinade injector on a tapered piece of meat like a turkey or chicken breast try to get most of your marinade into the thinnest part of the meat. It will be the first part to dry out when it hits your grill.
